WELCOME!

Backcountry Pilgrim began when I got back into hiking and backpacking during my preparations to walk the Camino De Santiago in 2020. I decided to make a few videos about my preparation for my personal YouTube channel.

Next thing I knew, I’d made well over 50 videos! While most were Camino specific,  some were just hiking in general. I enjoyed making this content so much that I started to think I would keep the channel going completing my Camino. So, to include both hiking and Camino content, I changed the name from “Camino MMXX” to “Backcountry Pilgrim.”
