I like a challenge. Especially one that doesn’t require much more than surfing online for things I don’t need. I already tried gearing up for a Camino at Wal Mart, now I wondered what Camino gear shopping might look like if I only had one day to research and $300 to spend.

Ground Rules
First, this Camino packing had to be a “from the ground up” with two exceptions: a phone (inc. camera) and walking shoes / hiking boots. I can’t know enough ahead of time to guess someone’s phone / footwear needs and most people have them already anyway.
Second, no crap products. Now, I have not bought most of these products, so I am relying on consumer ratings for quality control. (I strongly recommend that these items be tested out thoroughly within their refund time limit before they are taken on a Camino!)
Third, I only included men’s (large) clothing. Ladies, you can modify as needed. 🙂
Finally, I divided a few multi-packs up and priced the items accordingly, so they’d need to be shared to get the listed price (it only lowered the total by a few dollars).
OK here we go! (Images are linked to products.)

Conclusion
Well this is what I came up with for a full Camino packing list for under $300 (and only $330 including all the “luxury” items). I wish I had found some of these before I spent what I did on my kit. (In fact, I may swap some items for some of these!)
